February 2024 Product Update

In February, the Finary team focused on two main themes: improving the experience and offering the most requested features. Two-thirds of our team are currently working on the wealth/budget tracking part, while the remaining third are diving into crypto (and soon, other asset classes…).
Most of the changes in wealth tracking are happening behind the scenes. We are notably finalizing the launch of a complete overhaul of the performance calculation system in the coming weeks. I'll tell you more about it soon.

💰 Inviting pays off
The community is what makes Finary's heart beat. Since our launch, you have played an essential role in our growth and success. To thank you, we have completely rethought our referral program. As usual, we started with your feedback to build an attractive and relevant program.
Your feedback was unanimous: you wanted Premium offered for each successful referral. That's exactly what the new program allows: each new user who signs up with your referral code and synchronizes (at least) 3 accounts earns you one month of Premium for free. Even better, the referred person also gets 1 month of Finary Plus for free!
And if you're already Premium? We've got you covered: we push back the renewal date of your subscription by one month for each validated referral. For technical reasons, this is only valid for Premium members who have paid on our Web version.

🔄 Swap me if you can
With prices skyrocketing, crypto is in the spotlight this month! Thanks to free instant transfers, you could easily deposit euros to invest*. You could also sell your cryptos for euros to secure profits. However, one thing was missing: being able to convert your cryptos into other cryptos.
Commonly called "swap," this type of order has two major advantages: it easily allows the transition from one crypto to another and enables profit-taking without triggering a taxable event. A strategy frequently used by investors is to convert crypto into a "stablecoin" like USDC or USDT. This way, investors can secure their profits while moving to a crypto whose value is pegged to the dollar, hence stable.
The swap is not necessarily available for all pairs. If your pair is not available, you can convert to a stablecoin, then buy the desired crypto. The swap is only available from version 2.17.1 of the app.
🪄 Cascading improvements!
- Light mode: the dark mode has been part of our visual identity since 2020. Despite our love for this particular display, the idea of offering a light mode has been on our minds. This mode is now available on our Web version! Go to your settings to activate it!
- Point transactions: more and more of you are using Finary to manage your budget! Now, you can match each transaction to track unnecessary expenses. No more surprises at the end of the month! We've also added multiple selection as a bonus.
- Average cost on the App: the average cost is key information for your investments, allowing us to calculate your gain or loss. Many of you have asked for it on the app, and it's now easily accessible for your cryptos, ETFs, funds, and stocks! We've also added an easy copy of the ISIN code for all listed assets.
- Mandatory 2FA for Invest: the security of your funds and data is our top priority. We're taking it a step further by making two-factor authentication mandatory to invest in crypto on Finary.
- Changelog: the pace of development at Finary is relentless. We roll out improvements and launch new features every week. Our changelog has been revamped so you can easily follow these enhancements. It's accessible from the settings on Web and the app.
